Eldersfield Lawn is a small, voluntary controlled Church of England primary school serving children aged 4 to 11 with approximately 105 pupils.

It prides itself on a warm, family‑like atmosphere and strong Christian ethos, captured in its vision: LIFE – Living and Inspiring Futures for Everyone.

It’s committed to nurturing individual talents through a broad range of learning experiences and enrichment opportunities.

It was rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in the April 2024 inspection.

The School is academically strong, with 77 % of pupils achieving expected standard in reading, writing and maths (well above both county and national averages) and 23 % reaching a higher standard. This is aided by its pupil-to-teacher ratio of approximately 23:1, and a small cohort of teaching assistants.

Pupil participation is encouraged through a school council (“Junior Governors”) who are involved in shaping school improvements, such as lunchtime facilities and environmental initiatives.

The School adopts clear Christian values and global awareness through its curriculum, as it prepares and shapes thoughtful, responsible future citizens.
